Donate instead of gifts
Thank you to The Rev. Rachael Nyback and her now husband Chad Druten (pictured with family and friends,) whose wedding took place on October 28 of this year. Rachel and Chad designated HFS as one of their wedding gift beneficiaries. On their Zola website, Rachael and Chad wrote:
“With two households, and more china and crystal that we can imagine, we don’t need more stuff (plus small beach house). We kindly invite you to support one of our favorite charities, HFS Adoption & Foster Care. Adoption has played an important role in both of our lives; HFS is the adoption agency that helped our godchildren find their parents. A gift of any amount to help support HFS would warm our hearts to no end.”
Facebook Fundraiser
Many thanks to Bishop John H. Taylor, current Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, who raised over $3,300 in a Facebook Fundraiser for HFS in honor of his birthday! Every year, millions of people donate to a cause, and you can help HFS reach these donors. Create a Facebook Fundraiser and enlist your family and friends to help support HFS! Host your own fundraising event
HFS Board President Marianne Wright hosted Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church Altadena Women’s Group in her home this fall and raised over $500 for HFS. Heartfelt thanks to Anne Cohen, whose family was featured on the cover of the 2020 Gratitude Report, and who lives in Altadena, for speaking about her HFS adoption experience to the more than 20 women who came for dinner and fellowship.
