This year’s special honorees are: Janis Rosebrook, retiring HFS Board Chair, and 15-year volunteer, The Rev. Dr. Beth Kelly, Rector, with Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Fullerton, long-time host of non-profit organizations on their campus including HFS; St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church, Riverside, stalwart donors to HFS programs through their Rosary & Religious Education Ministry, headed by Ms. Dana Robles.
Auction highlights this year included: a week’s stay at Marriott’s Newport Coast Villas, a private tour and lunch at Rusack Vineyards, creator of world-class, handcrafted wines in California’s Santa Ynez Valley; and a Voice Over Session and Lunch hosted by voice actor Matt Wright, heard on CBS, FOX, Major League Baseball, Hallmark Channel, GSN, Broadway and others. Other items included Dodger Loge Seats with Premium Parking, Disney, Warner Brothers, DC Comics and Sony Pictures Packages; dinner at the City Club of Los Angeles; and tickets to The Los Angeles Philharmonic, A Noise Within, and the Pasadena Playhouse.
A special Paddle Raise opportunity during the live auction benefitted HFS’s Birth Parent Fund.
Over 120 guests were treated to fiesta themed libations, and dinner by The Spot. Special guests attending included supports from The Adoption Guild of South Orange County, HFS staff including Executive Director Julie Brown and her family, and HFS Board Members Marti Farley, John Thies, Carolyn Barnes, Deno Kidde, Janis Rosebrook, Maura Lemon, and Susan Chakmakian. Marianne Wright was the chair of the event, with a committee that included Paula Kelly, Marti Farley, Janis Rosebrook, Lydia Johnston, Deno Kidde, Susan Chackmakian, Trecia Simmonds, Melissa Schaper, Carolyn Barnes, Deb Presson, Matt Wright, Emily Wright, and Jenny Stanley
