Welcome to the HFS Board!
The HFS Board of Directors held a retreat in August at the Los Angeles Episcopal Diocese offices in Echo Park. Mary and Phil Bruno attended the retreat for lunch and as of the Board of Director’s meeting on September 21st have joined the Board. We are excited for Phil and Mary, as they bring history and energy to our board. Phil is the son of the late Episcopal Bishop of Los Angeles, The Rt. Rev. J. Jon Bruno, who was responsible for bringing HFS into the Episcopal Diocese in 2007. Phil is Executive Director at Century Group, an award-winning recruiting and staffing firm specializing in accounting and finance talent. Mary volunteers as a part-time fundraising consultant for local non-profits and is active in her community of Chapman Woods. In prior years, Mary worked as the director of March of Dimes, Los Angeles, Walk for Babies.
Both Mary and Phil are very involved in Holy Family Catholic Church in South Pasadena and very busy raising their 4 children.
