Our last email newsletter in June of 2023 highlighted the agency’s heartwarming May Circle of Hope event and The Roy Emerson Adoption Guild Tennis Classic over the Memorial Day Weekend.
Board President Marianne Wright and Board Member Mary Hatton, pictured with former HFS Board Member Sr. Julie Fertsch, SSJ, attended the St. Joseph’s Worker Volunteer Program fundraiser this summer. It was a lovely event at the Doheny Mansion on the Mount Saint Mary’s campus in Los Angeles. Also present were Jane and Phil Argento, long-standing supporters of HFS! Board member Joseph Zanetta was a sponsor of the event.
At our last board meeting of the Fiscal Year, we thanked Sithy Farook for her 3 years of service on the Board. Sithy joined in 2020 as HFS navigated the complexities of the pandemic era over the ensuing 3 years. Thank you, Sithy, for your service to HFS.
This summer, HFS also bid goodbye to Jay Orozco, who handled our social media and online communications these past 2 years. She and her wife have moved onto other projects, and we wish them well. We are pleased that David Mascarina will be adding this communications work to his portfolio of work for HFS. David is responsible for the reimagined HFS logo and look and has been helping the agency produce our annual Gratitude Report and publications for our Circle of Hope fundraisers. David also designed and maintains the agency’s website. Thank you, David, for jumping in to help HFS with this additional avenue of communication.
Marianne Wright,
President, HFS Board of Director
