The special Paddle Raise opportunity, held during the 2023 Circle of Hope event at the Oakmont Country Club on May 4th, benefitted one of HFS’s greatest needs, which continues to be outreach to hospitals and clinics. During the last three years, which included the COVID-19 Pandemic, there has been a tremendous turnover and change in the clinical staff at local hospitals. With funds raised last year, HFS was able to update our resource lists and begin a concerted effort to educate hospitals and clinics about adoption. When Matt Wright, the auctioneer, asked the guests to raise their “paddles” to help HFS to continue to expand their outreach to hospitals and clinics, attendees gave generously, and raised over $10,000! Thank you to all those who remembered the many hands and hearts it takes to place a child in the most important hands of all – their forever families.
